Read-Alouds allow readers to experience rich, interesting texts that are age- and grade- appropriate. They build a community of learners and expand knowledge, language, and vocabulary. During Read-Alouds, students develop their love for reading.
This reading campaign was called "Surprise Reader" and it consisted on students receiving a surprise reader in their classes and listening to a read-aloud. Teachers, principals, and staff volunteered to be a surprise reader and our students enjoyed every minute of it.
